WILLIAM TUTTON

William Tutton (electric and acoustic bass) was born in Buffalo, NY and made his public musical debut at the age of 15. It was the 9th grade variety show and his rock trio Future History performed “Can’t Get Enough,” “Hey Joe,” and an original composition which employed flashing lights stolen from police cars as part of the finale. They received a standing ovation from all the parents and teachers in the audience. It’s been non-stop thrills, crime and danger ever since.  In 1985 he moved to Los Angeles. He got off the Greyhound bus with a Fender bass in one hand and a suitcase full of dreams in the other. The suitcase was stolen by a transvestite on the corner of 6th and Los Angeles street. Coming from Buffalo, he saw this theft as a good omen. 
 
He has played on approximately 10 full-length LPs or CDs, and numerous EPs and 45s. Over the years, he has performed with the Amadans, the Big F, Big Wheelie and the Hubcaps, Dallas Don and the Echo Park Players, Terry Durbin, El Vez, The Ex-Teens, Future History, the Geraldine Fibbers, Glue, Green Jello, Kristian Hoffman,  Glen Meadmore, Malcolm Mooney, Andy Prieboy, Los Super Elegantes, Silver Palm Trio, Touchcandy, Rufus Wainright, and the Wild Honey Orchestra, as well as releasing music under his own alter egos, Doris Daytripper and the Sisters of Mersey, and Father Sun and the Holy Goats.
 
Radar Love was the first song he ever played on bass at age 12.
