that band would soon permutate to other musical identities: Ugly Americans, Heavy Circles, and Quarks, having residencies at Largo, Lingerie, and Luna Park.

he has appeared on a baker’s dozen albums over the decades.

eric is/was a core member of L.A. bands Kind Hearts and Coronets, The Cooling Time, Dream Apes, Cat Museum and ACME. he has also enjoyed stints with Artichoke, and The Lava Children.

he has also played and/or recorded with local luminaries Frank Black, Stan Ridgway, Nels Cline, Joe Baiza, Vince Meghrouni, Billy Talbot, and Neil Young.

eric occasionally performs in solo or duo under the name Magic Gas, using ambient treatments and extended technique on electric guitar.  he has composed with the Trip Dance Music Ensemble in modern dance performance, as well as in experimental puppet theater (Automata, Sparkleblob, The Little Fakers).

recent rock gigs include performing early CAN material with original singer Malcolm Mooney at the Desert Daze Festival, an album of psych-space-rock-pop from Dream Apes, Distort Reality, and local band shows at The Echoplex, Satellite, and Taix Lounge.

 eric was the very first artist to appear at the legendary Cafe NELA.

eric also records for film soundtracks and sound design, having worked on over 100 feature films, most recently on Tenet, Ford v. Ferrari, and Blade Runner 2049.
